Computer Network Engineering

Network Management Technology College Diploma Program (NMTCD)

Computer networks are the backbones of companies. In this academic program (approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities of Ontario, Canada) you will learn how to design, build, maintain, and upgrade sophisticated computer systems for business and industry that allow people from around the world to maintain access to information and to each other. This career program focuses on the technical aspects of computer networking.

Program Description

 

The Computer Network Engineering program is designed to provide students with the skills required to design, install, configure, and maintain enterprise-wide networks. In addition, the technical courses in the program helps students to develop skills in critical thinking, logic, communication, and problem-solving.

 

The program helps to prepare students for entry-level as well as high-level jobs in the industry including Computer Support Specialist, Network Administrator, and Network Communication Specialist.

             Assembling personal computer hardware and troubleshooting the hardware, peripheral, and

              software problems.

      2) Managing Microsoft Windows-supported Operating System (known as MCSA)

             Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft Windows-supported operating systems.

             Design and build a computer network using the TCP/IP protocol suite.

             Use diagnostic techniques, tools, and utilities to troubleshoot computer network problems.

             Implement a secure enterprise network using directory services

      3) Managing Cisco devices in LAN as well as a complicated WAN (CCNA and CCNP)

             Install, configure, administer, and maintain Cisco devices in Local Area Networks as well as

             complicated Wide Area Networks
